Who we are
One company from the talc face to the container
PakTalc is the talc division of SKZ Mining Company Pvt. Ltd. SKZ teams select the talc at the mine, sort it by hand, grind and test it in Peshawar, and pack it for export in Karachi. Because one company handles every step, each shipment can be traced back through the same hands.
Graded by hand
Lumps are sorted by colour and size at the mine yard and checked by inspectors before bagging.
Milled to specification
Hammer and Raymond mill lines, with air classification, produce mesh powder to the fineness you specify.
Tested before it ships
Samples are analysed for particle size, whiteness, sieve residue, bulk density, LOI, SiO₂ and MgO.
Packed for export
25 kg bags or jumbo bags, stacked and loaded into containers to your packing plan.

Where our talc is used
Talc's platy, soft and inert particles do different jobs in different industries. The grade you need depends on the job.
- Plastics & polymersTalc stiffens plastics and keeps parts dimensionally stable. It is widely used in polypropylene compounds for automotive, appliance and packaging parts.
- Paints & coatingsIn paint, talc is an extender that improves film build, sanding, matting and resistance to sagging and settling.
- Paper & pulpPaper mills use talc to control pitch (sticky wood resins) and as a filler or coating pigment that improves the printing surface.
- CeramicsTalc is a magnesium source and flux in ceramic bodies and glazes. It is used in wall tiles, sanitaryware and cordierite ceramics.
- RubberIn rubber compounding, talc is a processing aid and semi-reinforcing filler, and a dusting agent that stops uncured sheets sticking together.
- Cosmetics & personal careCosmetic formulators use talc for its soft, silky feel and its ability to absorb oil and moisture. It appears in pressed and loose powders.
- PharmaceuticalsTalc is a traditional glidant, lubricant and anti-caking agent in tablet and capsule manufacture.

Measured, not just described
Powder samples are analysed at SKZ Laboratory Peshawar. Here is one published result, for a sample labelled “Agam 02”, above 325 mesh.

Underground workings to meshing plants
Talc comes from surface and underground workings. It goes to SKZ's processing and storage yard and two meshing plants in Peshawar, then to the sorting and packing warehouse in Karachi.

What does PakTalc supply?

Which talc colour grades can I order?
